The Scoot Airline’s Amritsar-Singapore non-stop route recorded a total traffic of 13,184 passengers in March 2023. The average Passenger Load Factor (PLF) on this route stood at approximately 85.22%

It is notable that Scoot primarily serves Amritsar’s Australia market, along with Canada, as well, collectively with Singapore Airlines. Some of the top one-stop connecting destinations of Amritsar via Singapore include Sydney, Melbourne, Perth & Vancouver.

At present, the Malaysian-based carrier, Batik Air, is also operating 4x weekly non-stop services between Amritsar and Kuala Lumpur and is also providing the city connectivity with Southeast Asia & Australia.

Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, Scoot, Batik Air & Air Asia X combined operated over about 1,200 daily seats between Amritsar and Southeast Asia & Australia via their hubs of Singapore and Kuala Lumpur respectively.

In the year 2019, there were 122,525 non-stop passengers between Amritsar and Singapore, while 86,527 passengers between Amritsar and Kuala Lumpur.

The capacity of this market continues to remain down by over 48%, as Air Asia X has not been able to restore its services from Amritsar, after the pandemic.

It will be interesting to see if carriers, including VietJet Air and Thai Airways, look at the market of Amritsar in the near future for the expansion of the network in India.

At present, Scoot continues to operate 5x weekly non-stop 787-8/9 services between Singapore and Amritsar.
