Amritsar/Vancouver (FlyAmritsar Team):- The Canadian carrier, Air Canada has once again extended the flight suspension from India until July 28, 2021, but the federal government of Canada has not announced the same.

Giving information about resumption of flights from India, Air Canada on its website wrote, ”We are pleased to announce that flights to and from Delhi are returning on July 29, 2021 from Toronto and July 31 from Vancouver. Air Canada flights to and from Delhi were temporarily suspended effective April 22, 2021, as directed by the Government of Canada to suspend all direct passenger flights from India.”

On April 22, 2021, The Government of Canada announced a 30 day ban all scheduled passenger and charter flights arriving into the country from India to prevent the spread of COVID-19 till May 21, 2021, which was later further extended till June 21, 2021.

Currently according to restrictions imposed by the Government of Canada, Passengers can still fly to Canada from India, but will need to arrive in Canada via a third country. These passengers will need to produce a negative result on a COVID-19 test taken at their last point of departure before being allowed to enter Canada.
