IndiGo starts daily flights between Amritsar-Pune

Now get ready to fly between Amritsar and Pune conveniently via Delhi with IndiGo. India’s No. 1 low cost carrier IndiGo is bringing some good news at the start of year 2021 for travelers between Pune and Amritsar, Punjab.

Starting 5th January 2021, IndiGo will operate daily flights between Amritsar and Pune with a short halt at Delhi till the end of winter schedule 2020-21, i.e. 27th March 2021.

The total flight time from Amritsar to Pune will be 3 hours 50 minutes, including the 45 minutes halt at Delhi, while the total flight time from Pune to Amritsar will be 4 hours 40 minutes, including the 1 hour 10 minutes halt at Delhi. During the short halt at Delhi, Passengers will not need to deboard the aircraft at Delhi.

According to the schedule and booking availability on IndiGo’s website, the flight will be operated as 6E286 from Amritsar to Pune via Delhi and will depart Amritsar at 15:45pm and reach Delhi at 16:45pm. From Delhi, the flight will depart at 17:30pm and reach Pune at 19:35pm.

From Pune to Amritsar via Delhi, the flight will be operated as 6E602. The flight will depart Pune at 10:10am and reach Delhi at 12:30pm. From Delhi, the flight will depart at 13:40pm and reach Amritsar at 14:50pm.The same aircraft will be operated to/from Amritsar and Pune via Delhi.

This new connectivity will ease travel between the two cities allowing people from Punjab working in Pune, a city considered as the second biggest IT hub in India and also large number of tourists from the second largest city in Maharashtra will be able to travel conveniently to Amritsar, to pay obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib (The Golden Temple) and other attractions.

While a large number of people want to travel daily between the two cities, the success of this one-stop flight with a halt at Delhi may also result in direct flights between the two cities in future by IndiGo or even any other domestic carrier.

In addition to Delhi and Mumbai, Amritsar is also currently directly connected to Kolkata, Bengaluru, Patna, Nanded and Srinagar.
