The arrival of new year started with good news for the loved ones who come to the Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport to pick up or drop off passengers.
From January 1, the visitor entry for Meet & Greet area in both arrival and departure hall will start to facilitate people to meet, greet or send off their loved ones.
In a tweet, the airport management announced that the change will come into effect from the first day of the Year.
FlyAmritsar Initiative and Amritsar Vikas Manch welcomes the resumption of this entry into the airport that was stopped after the start of pandemic. We are thankful to the authority for the arrangements at the airport regarding social distancing and other measures during the pandemic. We also request the travelers and visitors to cooperate with the authorities during this time to use masks and maintain social physical distancing at all times.
