Air India to operate direct Dubai to Amritsar flights with Boeing 787 Dreamliner

Air India has become the fourth Indian carrier to connect Dubai with Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport, Amritsar.
According to the schedule released by Air India, Starting 15th Jan 2021, the national carrier will operate its once weekly one way service from Dubai to Amritsar departing every Friday evening using its state of the art Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft. The flight will depart Dubai at 9pm local time reaching Amritsar next day local time at 1:50am. The aircraft will then depart for Delhi. The booking of these flights from Dubai to Amritsar are available on its website till end of winter schedule, 27 March 2021.
From the schedule posted by airline on its website, from 25th Jan 2021, the airline will also start to operate this flight both ways, i.e. Amritsar to Dubai and Dubai to Amritsar. Booking of the flights for Amritsar to Dubai is currently not available on its website. It remains to be seen when the airline will open bookings on its website or make any changes to its published schedule.
Air India is the sole Full Service Carrier (FSC) of the country to operate direct flights between the two cities. Air India’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner offers 238 seats in economy class and 18 seats in business class.
The Low Cost Carriers (LCCs) of India, Air India Express, IndiGo and SpiceJet also operates multiple flights a week from Amritsar to Dubai International Airport (DXB), Sharjah Airport (SHJ) and Ras Al-Khaimah Airport (RKT).
In addition to these destinations, Air India and its low cost subsidary, Air India Express, both operate one-way once weekly service from Abu Dhabi to Amritsar.
